  • Entrepreneurship is an energetic process for the creation of a new business or venture. Today, it plays a central role in both developed and developing economies, which grapple with significant challenges, including globalisation, population explosion, social development deficits, economic competition and economic downturns. This book uncovers the realm of individuals' intentions toward entrepreneurship with the support of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), for which we have developed a comprehensive theoretical framework. In the opening chapters, we spotlight the significance of entrepreneurship in three selected developing countries: Malaysia, Pakistan and Thailand. We offer an in-depth examination of entrepreneurship education in these countries, highlighting the strategies and initiatives aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit. As previously mentioned, TPB serves as the foundational theory, focusing on three core elements: attitude toward becoming an entrepreneur, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control. Subsequently, we present several empirical findings on entrepreneurial intentions among students in these nations, utilising the TPB as our guiding framework. Finally, drawing on the insights gained from the application of TPB, we conclude this book by elucidating which factors are most predictive of entrepreneurial intentions in Malaysia, Pakistan and Thailand. This book contributes to the existing literature on entrepreneurship as well as the TPB theory, offering valuable insights to scholars and researchers from related fields seeking a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship. Moreover, this book is a valuable resource for policymakers and government agents aiming to alleviate the burden of unemployment within their respective countries. It is our hope that this work will serve as a catalyst for positive change and innovation, inspiring individuals to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys and collectively shaping a brighter future for their nations.
